Sisters in Rhyme’ is Volume 2 of the Sulekha Book Series, a Blogprint initiative.

Going by the name of the book, ‘Sisters in Rhyme’ is all about the works of the most talented women bloggers on Sulekha and their multi-faceted world. The book takes the reader through the pages of their lives, their adventures and their experiences. Various aspects of life are captured in poignant verses taking readers through the myriad colors of being a woman, and of womanhood.

Quoting few lines from Not Just a Woman, one discovers the essence of womanhood, as put by Supriya Dixit, when she says:

Co-exist – but I’m itching to grow

You’ve had centuries to wallow in

Now give me the future to show

That I’m not just a woman – I’m a WOMAN you see

I will sashay wildly – now the Devi in me.

Equally, one will marvel at the subtle humor and the hidden truth in Ode to Technology where Anjali Thomas writes:

All day I pass, as I stare at this machine,

Wishing something exciting will pop up on my screen.

My closest friend, my constant companion, is made of metal and wire,

This computer might have to follow me to my funeral pyre.

Thirty-four women bloggers who have contributed their works have put in their heart and soul into the making of this book. This anthology of poems is a dedication to the woman herself and her creative talents.
